"A document in madness, thoughts and remembrance fitted,
Thought and afflictions, passion, hell itself..."

The purpose of this journal is document my life as a mother of two mildly autistic children, an author and an artist. Humbly.
A-hem. Once upon a time, when Curious George was President of Neverland...
Seriously now.
Here are some pages from last week's journal. (You can click on them to view larger images).

I am working on a novel called "The Butterfly Book." The Hollywood tagline for my opus magnum would be, I sadly state, "'Harry Potter' meets "Da Vinci Code'". Sadly, because I despise both "Harry Potter" and "Da Vinci Code". Anyone with me?
I like to think that my novel is an exercise in creative cryptohistory, a flight of fancy, if you will, and a lyric satire.
Here is how it starts: In Antebellum Germany, Klaus Frosch, a nine-year-old pupil, becomes a heir to Old King Weisthor. The fairy-tail "Frosch Koenig" (The Frog King) theme starts here.
Historical Weisthor, Karl Maria Wiligut, was a rune mystic with history of mental illness who managed to become important in Heinrich Himmler's life. Wiligut claimed he was "Geheimkoenig", the Secret King of Germany. He was reported to grieve a lack of a male heir. He claimed his secret rune knowledge could only be passed from father to son.
So, I introduced Klaus, a fictional boy who was kidnapped by Lebensborn from the Ukraine or perhaps Poland, given a German name, and taught to forget his past.
A secret society called "Der Gabelbeinbund" ("The Wishbone League") "supplies" him to Wiligut as a surrogate.
We only meet Old King Weisthor (Karl Maria Wiligut) and Eiserne Heinrich (Heinrich Himmler) once, but the meeting is memorable.
Enough for now.
